Talked to a BUD yesterday, said they were out on Little Whitefish lk. said they drilled thru---get this---22 inches of ICE OMG
Looks like a late start to the season EH!
How long will it take for that amount of ice to melt off so I can finally rid myself of this I gotta go BASS fishin FEVER! ha ha ha

NOt 22", SFW1960 & myself were out there Saturday and drilled 20+ holes thru 14" of ice.

That's still a lot of ice;)

darn, these temps are not helping much. I might have to go on the river just so I can at least cast into water.

Go at night, fish off the fulton st. bridge. Monday night between my and my friend:

2 steelies
4 walleye

But you need a drop net. I guess you could do something similar off the highwall at the dam... but you still need a drop net.

C&R bass season doesn't start till April 26th anyway. It will be gone by then.

We arnt goin for bass this time of year, its a big dog fish bite, funny i do get alot of bass when i am fishing for those doggys:lol:

I talked to the guys again today and they said in the northwest bay there was from 18-22" of ice, as they went south it got better only 16" still OMG sheesh!

Well she is right, I was asked how much ice was on the river first time i went out and there was probably 4"...........we said there was 8" just to keep from getting chewed, but thats an excuse.

Its just us guys are more driven to catch fish:yikes: I went there. Just kidding though.
