It was a 2 or 3 years ago that a young man won some type of outdoor contest. The prize, I think, was his own sportsman T.V. show. Does anyone know if that ever materialized?

Are you referring to the "Win your own fishing show" contest?

If so, Joel Piatek (from Harsen's Island) did ultimately end up winning the contest. It was put on by The Outdoor Channel and the prize was for a one time only show though I think. I'm sure he probably did the show but I never did see it. Here's a link to a press release about it...
