With a 116-109 win yesterday the Pistons are in the playoffs.....not like this was going to be a shock. I am ready for them to make another run at a Championship!

I'm ready also, but I have a feeling I shouldn't get my hopes up. Think were gonna be stopped short again.

My heart says that they will win it all. My head says that they will make a deep run but come up short.
They are capable of beating any team on any given day. They are also capable of losing to any team on any given day. Ive seen them put in some
tremendous efforts and beat some great teams. But have seen them sometimes lack heart and motivation and lose to teams they shouldnt.
The last few years they have had proublems in the playoffs. the Bulls Gave them troubles and shouldnt have. The Cavs beat us and shouldnt have.

I hope when the playoffs start all their heads are screwed on right (Sheed)
and they have that hunger to win the title. They are good enough to play with any team out there and can beat any team out there, as long as there heads are into it.
Boston and some of the teams in the west arnt just gonna have hand a title to them. They must go out and EARN it.

Tonights win seals up home court WHEN the Pistons win the East. The bench is ripping it up. We got Maxiell, Stucky, Amire Johnson, lindsey and JAAAAARRRVISSS HAYES!!!!! Hayes has had a great string of games. Watch for Hayes of the bench.

I think that bench is going to be the difference. Even if they don't play much. They got alot of valuable minuits this year and our top 6 guys have to be the freshest they have even been going into the playoffs. If the bench is used a bit then that's O.K. too becuase those guys got good playing time in tight games going down the stretch. This team is deeper and more balanced then any one else.

Most NBA teams have to take some lumps and pay their due in the playoffs before they go on to win the championship. I can't name the last time a team who didn't make the playoffs one it all? I don't think Boston is going to change that. It's hard for a team to rely on less than 5 players throughout the playoffs.

Pistons make it out of the East then it's a roll of the dice.

Gotta agree with Wildcatwick.
The starters have all been there, done that. They have plenty of playoff expirence. Now lets see if the bench can play at a level to keep the starters fresh. Last year, the Cavs just wore us out. Key will be the early (1st and 2nd round games) if we can win those series and keep minimal playing time for the starters then they should be good to go for the later round series/championships. Still think the road to the finals runs thru the Celtics.
Look for the Western division to be a freakin war. Plenty of solid teams gonna be kicking the snot out of each other. Who ever it is that comes out of the West will have to be pretty bloody by the time they get to the finals. So as good as the west is, i think its a great year for the East to win. Boston and our Stones both played the west tough this year.
Im thinking Stones vs Spurs for the finals!!!

(almost forgot, I hope Flip learns how to coach in the playoffs this year)

I think Dumars has been holding his hand thru the season and that will continue. I think that's the only reason he used the bench as much as he did. I'm sure they will have a conversation after every game so adjustments that he hasn't made in the past he will......I hope.

The starters barely played the last about 8-10 games, the bench really stepped up and showed that the bench in itself could make a good team. I was especially impressed by Stuckey, he vastly improved from when he first started to play after the injury, and really stepped up the last few weeks and was probably the leading scorer for the Pistons. Stuckey, Maxiell, and Hayes makes for a very good 8 man rotation in the playoffs, it's almost like having 8 starters. Plus, you have Affalo, Herrman, as always Hunter, Amir also solid players off the bench, the Pistons are easily the deepest team in the east, and probably the deepest team overall. They should be nice and rested throughout the playoffs.

I think the Celts and Stones will almost sweep their way to the conf. finals,
Orlando will be the only team that can win any games vs. either of them. I can see the Magic putting up a fight, but, i can't see them taking more than 2 games from either team.

Pistons vs. Lakers in the finals again? I can see it, and i can see a similar result too...
