Currently have a bow-mounted Minn Kota 55# 24V on my boat. Love it. Perfect for jigging. Perfect for trolling too, only problem is the foot pedal only reaches about a 1/3of the way to the back of the boat so trolling can be a pain, especially when by myself trying to tend to the rods in the back of the boat and the foot pedal up front.
I was going to buy a cheap transom mounted for the back fro trolling. My buddy suggested seeing if I could get a longer cord for the foot pedal so it reaches all the way to to the back of the boat (17').
Anyone done this before...how much $$ for a new foot pedal cord?
Thanks...Brian

Hey Brian I take it that your foot pedal cord does not have a quick diconnect like mine does? Mine came with a long cord that goes any where on the boat.. If all else fails go to the Minkota service rep on Anchorbay drive he should be able to hook you up, I dont have his address handy at the moment but I am sure if you go to there website they will list there service reps..Cya Slick

Thanks Brent. To be honest I am blanking out as to whether or not I have a quick disconnect. I'll go take a look when the weather breaks and I pull the tarp off. You are the second person to tell me about the guy on AB drive, so I'll go talk to him. Thanks!
