Guys,
The winch tower that cranks my boat up onto the trailer is too short. The trailer was made for a deck boat I believe, it's very wide w/ several bunks which I had to cut and adjust to fit my boat, no big deal. However, from day 1 w/ this trailer the winch tower has been too short and the roller is actually under my eyelet on the bow of the boat. When cranking the boat up it actually puts pressure downward making it difficult to crank the boat up, not a huge deal because I usually float it all but on anyhow. The tower that is on the trailer now is not adjustable in height. I'm looking for a place that sells the adjustable towers like you see on most trailers, w/ a couple U-bolts to bolt to the trailer and another set to adjust the winch up/down.
Anyone able to help...
Thanks,
-Ray;)

BTW, it's for a 1996 "Prestige" if it matters and an '89 20' Starcraft deep V.

You might think of making one yourself.

It is not a bad job but it does require a couple of welds. If you don't have access to a welder you could get the pieces welded up for a lot less than buying it retail!

Good luck.

After posting this I stumbled across a website that sells them. I took some measurements and another look at the existing and from the looks of it I can cut and add a 10" section and it should bring me up to where I need to be. I have access to a machine shop and tig welder so that's probably what I'll do...
