It's time to open a can of worms.
I'm just going to sit back and watch the fire fly.
It's only 11 weeks till archery season and I am certain that some of you gals get as excited as the men do.
Soooo, why is this site so cold?
Is it becouse it is for women?
It will hit the fan now.
All in fun

Oct 1, I put up with enougth of that kind of teasing where I live about women and hunting. I would appreciate that you do not use my forum to start a sexual debate on hunting. The guys here are very kool and add alot to my forum and the number of women joining the Michigan sportsmen site are growing. If the site appears cold it's only because people see the word huntress and choose not to participate, their lose.
So instead of trying to get people going why not help out and put a good topic in my forum and help draw people in. I do not mean to sound rude but honestly I'm tired of fighting for my right to hunt. It's not my fault I was born a women but I'm sure my husband is glad I was or he'd be a little strange.
So here is your responce hope you had your laugh for the day, Born.

Oct 1, you really are trying to stir up a hornets nest aren't you? Maybe even kicking a hornet's nest.

For sure!!!
She has never seen a bear that I know of.
She may need some female support when it comes to them. ;)

O.K., Oct.1 .... I'll bite. You can see by my user name what I really like to do. This is one heading of many -- we post to them all on occasion. I like to think hunters are hunters...I learn much from whatever topic I happen to be reading at the time. Why, there's just so much good stuff everywhere on here to keep us so busy.....
And yes, when bow season rolls around I will be up a tree every possible day I can. My husband will tell you, I would rather hunt than do almost anything else....
Sharing the excitement and love of the hunt with others who are of like mind is the gift this site offers. I am grateful for the chance to be in contact with so many great people on this site..... M

Go kick the stump where the bees live, but I have read the posts here and I don't think I want to mess with some of the bees that live here.
Anyone who hunts bear (and other critters) and dresses their own kills, can certainly have all the room they want, regardless of plumbing.
I am also impressed with the way this forum is handled. All info is interesting and aimed at improvements in hunting and caring for mother earth, in a nicely balance manner.
I notice that (OCT.1) you have listed few interests in your profile, and you just thrashed one of them. Hmmmm !!

Mr. Oct 1, is your real name BUBBA? I think I ran into you when I was looking for archery equipment before.
Hey Guys......Wanna see my bear? There is a picture of him posted on the Women Hunters Club on Yahoo. Oh yeah, I am in the picture too.
As far as this thread being cold Bubba. I have not noticed that. Nobody posts. I have posted a topic and got 2 responses. The topic wasn't limited to us ladies. I sure didn't see you add anything to it. There are more writers on HuntAmerica and the Bowsite so I read there a lot. :)

Every day spent outdoors is the best day of my life.
Way to go! Nice bear redtoads. Chad.

WOW !!!
I did'nt mean to insult anyone so please allow me to apologize now.
I just wanted to start more involvement from the ladies.
If you noticed I said this was all in fun.
From now on I will just keep to Queations and answers.
Once more I am sorry.
So to summit a question.
How many wonderful sportswomen use this forum??
Truthfully I would like to see many more women become involved with the outdoor sports.
My wife and I have been hunting together for 32 years now, and to me she is my best friend.
We have our hunting camp with other husband and wife teams and really enjoy ourselfs as a group. We have the same type of camp as a group of men would have but have a rule, no alcohol. Don't need to be hungover to have fun. We laugh, we kid each other and have a good time.
What I really like is my wife is now demanding that she be allowed to pick out her own hunting equipment instead of using my hand me downs.
Last year she went to Jays and was fitted for a Ruger 44 mag.
She likes it because it fits her properly and has very little kick.
She now has fun going to the range.
She has picked out her own bow and is now fletching her arrows.
Don't get me wrong I would enjoy doing all this for her, but most of all I enjoy the fact that she is having fun doing these things herself.
I can only hope that the women geting involved in this sport finds as much fun as my wife appears to.
However she still will not clean her own deer.
Once again please allow me to apologize.
There was no harmfull intent.
Just wanted to stir this site up.
Bless you all

Oct 1, thanks for the thoughtful post. No offence taking. Sometimes I really hate reading the posts here because I envy your wives so much. You guys refer to them as your friends and companions. What I wouldn't give to hear my hubby say that just once. Anyway thanks for the help it got things going a little here. BORN :)

After this weekends Outing, my wife has become a shooting nut :) I am hesitant to sat at this point that she is a hunter but who knows, I will encourage her in whatever path she chooses to endure in. As for the ladies here, I look forward to your insight and knowledge, no different than I do from someone that I find out to be a man.
