Bear Hunting

I have read a couple of posts from the ladies who harvest bear.
Your the ones I envy.
Do you use rifle or bow?
Tell me your stories.
I have always wanted to bear hunt with a bow while on the ground, but have been told I have to be nuts. That kind of thrill would long be remembered.

Hi Oct1,I have helped my hubby for years baiting bears for his guide service. Last year I finally drew my first tag, and it was a thrill to say the least. I hunted with my 30-06 in a ground blind. What a blast. I shot a small bear but he was sure pretty. A beautiful white V on his chest. I had him made into a 3/4 mount. And I might add he was mighty tasty too. Born

The only black bear I've seen crossed the raod in front of me on a dead run...they do hunt bear on the same property I deer hunt...makes me a little nervous during those mid-day nap times ;)

Just looked at where you are from.
WOW your up there.
Hopefully some day in the near future I may finally decide to do that bear hunt I have always wanted to and who knows, the way I like to travel that part of Michigan I'll contact your husband for his guide service for my first bear hunt.
