sand lake saturday night

me and eyespy went out crappie fishin saturday night. did ok, came home with 13 all between 8 and 11 inches. probably missed 5 or 6. all on minnows. if you go take a shovel and chain your 4 wheeler tires the snow really slowed us down.(didnt chain the tires). made for a slow start.

Where are the pics guys? Need the fish porn!
My cousin and I were out there Sunday. Had a pretty darn good day. Caught perch, crappie, bluegill, nice pike and a LM. Going to post pics and a report tonight when I get home. Color that seemed to work best was green.
How about you guys color/type of lure?
We had something hit a jig in the shanty that was pretty darn big. It was on my cousins rod and it had the rod bent seriously double and was ripping line off the drag. Only problem was the 2lb test he had on there!
Don't think I'm going to get out this weekend, have stuff to do with the boss. Thinking about going out the following weekend though and spending a couple days out there.

Sorry no pics just have to take are word...really no certain color about anything from blue,orange,and GID.but i would say the GID frosty or tear drops did the best..the vex was lite up most of the night if we could have caught half of what we marked could have got a limit for some reason they were real finiky...

Not doubting your word, just like to see fish pics!:D
I did notice that they were biting a little finicky. I was using a green teardrop tipped with red spikes. They would not bite if I only had 1 or 2 spikes, it had to be at least 3 or 4. Would drop it to the bottom and bring it up about a foot and pound it for a few seconds and then pause, right after that you could see them come off the bottom and smack it. Pretty fun actually once I found out what they wanted.
