Vexilar vs. VPG

Has anyone tried both? I have been with a buddy who had a vexilar and it was cool, I was just wondering if anyone had tried the VPG and had reports on its pros and cons and how it rates to the vexilar.

I had the vpg last yr, when it worked right it was o.k I now have a vex.

They updated (vpg) since I owned it... if you just needs something simple to see fish and your lure the vpg should be fine

Have you done a search on this forum for flashers? there are a ton of threads with information about VPG, vexilar, MarCum, and Lowrance units.You can get a Marcum for around the price of the VPG but with more features then a FL 8.
