Saw a few of our archery brethren at the Outdoorama today. Here's a pic of our own Kingfishcam and Kelly Johnson

Then there was Ninja and Dave from KD Outdoors. Here Ken's showing his best attributes while Daves giving me the price he's gonna sell me a Firecat for:D:

IM PISSSED! I walked right past 2 of you today and didn’t even realize who you were!!! Kelly I was standing right by you looking at bows for a sec and Thunderhead! I walk by you, looked at my dad and said man, that guy looks familiar to me! lol If I would have known it was you guys I would have stopped to say hi! I had an olive green QDMA fleece on with a camo Mathews hat and was carrying around the rack from my 8 point I shot last fall. Anyone see me?!?!....... Ken I probably saw you too and didn’t realize it was you. :dizzy:

and taking a closer look I think that might be my uncle behind Kingfishcam and Kelly Johnson. lol!!!

HH- I actually think I DID see you around yesterday. In fact, did you get there around 10:15 or so? Seems to me I recall someone walking in the doors at about the same time as me that fits your description.

You may be the only one I have ever heard say anything close to being derogatory about Dave. Please take into context that he's a friend of mine. Regardless of what you may think, Dave may be one of the best bowyers out there. And that alone is how most judge him. I guess you'd rather have someone humorless to work on your equipment huh?

all i am saying is that someone would have that reaction to that picture and thats not the kind of gesture i would want representing me

this is a family environment and should be treat as such in less you are in the sound off forum

Heck you think that was bad you should go take a look at the pictures from our last nights jig painting party in Detroit river forum under Jigging reels thread:lol::lol:.. If you have ever got togeather with a bunch of guys from this site from time to time and if a fliped bird got you so upset you need to relax a bit, I guess you never made meet and greet eighter:lol:.. There is a lot more in our scoiety that has to worry about then some one flipping off another person the bird.. :dizzy:..Cya Slick

Nope I was there from about 3-5.

I think that pic is just bad timing. It looks like he is just pushing up his glasses to me. A lot of people use their middle finger to do that.

I should have kept my eyes peeled a little better, I was there from 3-530 yesterday and didn't see anyone, but I am headed back today to hopefully book a pronghorn hunt in montana.

I saw you blow by my booth a couple times Paul with your camera. Then your boss :) and Tom Huggler decide to have a pow wow for about a 1/2 hour right in front of us disrupting the flow of traffic. Man was it busy on Saturday, I heard for a short time they were at max capacity and had to stop people from entering. Did get to meet Ken (thx for the UA for my FIL) from KD..

Ok if you think that is bad. Then you need to go to KD Outdoors. Meet Dave, he taught me quite a bit with only a couple trips up to the store.

Be advised if you go to KD Outdoors, be ready for sarcasm comical good time.

I need to run back up there and say hi and maybe have my bow checked out. Just because I am taking care of this investment.

If that offended you, I apologize.

We do not "flip the bird" as a regular business practice, and let me assure you that "bird-flipping" is not part of my marketing program.

I have 2 days off, but when I return to the store, I will cut his middle fingers off.

Dave told me that wrist strain was from all that slave work you got him doing!!:lol: And you might want to start trying that "bird flip" approach more often. I could barely get around in your area with all those people that were there. Hope the cash register reflected the crowd you had.;)

Great show ! :) Nice seeing all you guys. Neal and his family made an appearance too.
Thanks for the sandwich Kelly, your reputation as a chef is well deserved.

For what it's worth, If I didn't get flipped off at least once a day, something would be wrong........

You better cut his hands off. He may graduate to "mooning" if you don't. I think it goes without saying that's something none of us need!

"Characters Seen at Outdoorama" - Yes, there were quite a few, especially hanging around KD's booth. ;)

Wish I'da know more members had booths, we stopped at quite a few but had no idea who's who. Next year lets try to do a thread on M-S.com members that have booths? :)

I met Dave once, last Fall. I brought my Bow into KD Outdoors because I couldn't get it to shoot consistently. It was a new bow, purchased at another store. He did a great job tuning my bow, and treated me as if I had bought the bow from KD.
My experience, and from what just about anyone who has done business with him, says he's a good guy.

.....and thanks Kelly for the wonderful lunch, best duck I've had in a long time.
KD's was fun and it was nice meeting people in person. Though I think some of those pictures are questionable..........

...but I would agree that it would be hard to imagine Dave being malicious in any way, the picture of him looks to me like he's flicking a fly off his nose.....
I would have liked to share the master pig map with some of the saturday and sunday crowd though.

I must have stayed on Daves good side!! The whole 30 minutes or better I was BSing with them I did not get the finger once... :D

Nice meeting the few of you that I did! We will be booking this show next year based on the fact that they actually put that many people through the doors and there was not another video production team there!

Ken,

I have Danny working on that promo video and should be able to pick it up from him on the 14th when I go to Columbus for the show there! I will also grab some DVDs for you as well! I will call you before I go down after I talk to Danny in the next couple days!

Take care guys!
