Welllll... Sorry for the late post regarding fishing around Gino's, but once again, I had to hit the shower first to...............WASH THE SKUNK OFF :dizzy::lol:
Launched from Crocker and ran towards Metro. Fished slightly "left" of "Jimmys" canal not too far offshore, 100-200 yards, and nothing but the dreaded "d's" Water clarity was about 4-5 feet in 6 fow, kinda cloudy..
Moved in tighter app. 1/4 mile south of Gino's (4 fow).Water was a little clearer but clouded up as we sat. Dreaded "d's" were a little more aggressive there. Moved south into 7 fow, to find more......well.... you know what's :dizzy:  Who stole all the big mama's ?????
Meanwhile, minnow heads seemed to be the flavor of the day.....Whole minnnows? nada. Wigs? nada. Beads? nada.

Did not hear any good reports coming in from any guys at the Crocker launch.....Gave a lift to a guy hauling his "200 pounds of gear" through the thick snow from WAY offshore straight out of the Crocker launch. He caught nothing but dinks too.... :( thought he was going to have a heart attack dragging all that stuff....
Well, good luck to all this weekend.
Hopefully we will be up in Anchor Bay with "ACME" :chillin:
Best regards,
Laura

Went out today (Saturday) at 8:00 am. We caught 8 or 10 nice fish. Slow fishing.

Was out early from Jimmy's canal. Caught my best fish while it was just barely getting light. Once the traffic started up on the ice it was mostly dinks. Must have caught 50 or 60, brought home 14. The way the day started I was throwing back 8's because 3 out of my first 4 were bigger. Had to change my keeper size once the crowds moved in.

7 feet of water. All fish were caught on minnows. They wouldn't touch a wiggler where I was camped out.
