How far out is the open water where the ice broke off can you still get out pretty far or what??

I went out yesterday pretty far. I was fishin in 10.5 FOW.

HI U of M Fan, I was out yesterday as well. Fishing about 8 FOW.Caught alot of little ones but did get 10 keepers 8 to 11in. How did you do in the deeper water?
