Does anyone know who makes or where I can get a really tiny ultra light spinning reel? I'm looking for something really really small. Thanks

Mike

Just about any well stocked fishing tackle shop should have them. Or, check with Jay's or Frank's or any of the larger big-box stores.

You could also figure out what you want and just order it through the local mom & pop shop and avoid all the gas and driving costs.

How small are we talking? I've been using a shimano sedona 750 for ice fishing this season and a michelle 310X gold as well and they've worked great. I REALLY wouldn't look to go smaller than that personaly. Like I said though how small are we talking?

I have a really nice Pfueger 5 ball bearing spinning reel that I bought as a combo at Cabelas.

Ok, here's the deal. I built these very light 50 inch ice fishing poles for standing back from away from the hole in shallow water. The lake has a lot of bass, so I would like something with some srt of a drag, but for the most part the reel won't really be used. Any thoughts.

I agree with fish tales. I run a couple of the tica models and really like them. Other manufactures have just recently also come out with some very nice reels that rival these for the price.

Here's an idea for the rods you are describing. How 'bout a really small fly reel. That would be a gas!!! Instead of reeling you could just strip line.

Hmm....now you got me thinking.........

Any fly reels you had in mind? I am looking really small. I ordered a few of these, so I will see how they are when they arrive. Anyone have any experience with them or know where I can get one locally to Saginaw.

Another Tica fan. Have two Tica Cetus's and quit using all the others I have. You might pay less for other "small" reels, but these are worth the money. Great drags that work in extremely cold weather.

I agree with the above...if size is the issue here, then the Silstar's are the way to go, smallest I've seen yet.
