son-in-law just got back ..they did great-5days
don't know where they fished on simcoe
Just wondering why 5 days when you can only bring back a 2 day limit? Did they not do real well the first couple of days?

Fished out of Beverton last Friday and Sat. Went out between the Islands.
Lot of piled up ice to cut thru. Lots of holes could not punch thru 3 ft thick at least. Started in 12 ft moved to 18 ft. Got our limits but the fish ran on the small size. I ended up with 20 between 11 and 12 1/2 alot of 8 1/2 -9 inchers

We got our two man limit and most were huge 10,11,12 inches uo to 13. took us 3 days.
The fish were finicky and didn't come easily on aggressive lures. We got most on Halis tipped with a wiggler and a rocker minnow with a red treble and either plain or tipped with a wiggler when things slowed down.
You really had to work to get them die to the weather and the small size of schools. We got our biggest and most north west of Georgina in 25-30- fow.
We did get a few on the south east side of the big G as well.

Great job guys!
Did you have quads or did you drive your trucks out to the island?

We used quads only at first and then after we figured it out we drove to the island on the ice road adn then took quads from there.
