Ice conditions

Hi all, I was wundering if anybody has been out front of Beacon's Cove.
I was gonna try jigging for walleye a couple nights this weekend,but don't know how thick the ice is out there as I have never ventured out that far. Looking at going about 2 miles or there abouts to start.
Never jigged for them but always wanted to try. At least give it a shot LOL!
Anything to make sure it safe is greatly appreciated! Just wanna be safe!

There's a crack/ice pile up,, little over a mile out. You can't miss it. I didn't even get close enough to it to look and see if it was "traversible",, if that's even a word. :lol:

They have been getting out to the second crack at ginos.....I havent been myelf so I cant tell u first hand.... This is about the time of year that the fatties start to show up....Hopefully.

Ill have to wait till next week to get the sled back....The sucky thing is I lost my GPS @ work last sat so Im going to have to start all over....dang.

Do you have any idea how far out that second crack is??? I haven't even seen anyone past the first crack.

Im not sure...I havent been out far enough to even see it yet. Probably head out that way next week if conditions are good.

I had planned on going out there monday but wound up fishing shallow...good thing I did since the sled broke down.
