Was out Friday and Saturday. Used waxworms and minnows. Got a total of three bites and no fish. No one around me was doing any better but some folks were going over near the expressway and they may have been having some luck. Didn't feel like walking that far.
Friday I drilled 18 holes, Saturday I drilled 14 holes looking for the fish. Glad I have a power auger.
Friday was at the east boat launch and Saturday was at the west boat launch. No one around on Friday at the east boat launch, people doing more fishing from the west boat launch both days.

I went out there last Friday and caught one SM bass on a pike minnow on a tip-up. That was the only bite in 3 hours. Like imjon said, there was one guy down by the bridge, but I couldn't see if he was catching anything.
Edit: There were several people over on Wildwing too.

Forget Kent Lake, it's simply not worth the time.
Just go to Lake Chemung where everyone else is going nowadays!

Best thing I was ever told about Kent lake by an older guy named Joe is that you don't have to worry about getting your hands cold there since you'll never have to take your gloves off to unhook too many fish.
But if you want to fish a 1000 acre lake with almost no one fishing it,
no snowmobiles, no quads and few fish this is the place to go.

I'm heading to Lake Chemung right now.

Thats because these lakes are hardly stocked anymore from the Dnr, with the fishing pressure these lakes get the fish cant keep up.

I live in Brighton and drive by Kent Lake everyday. Everytime I drive by I see no shanty's up at all. This past weekend I did see a group near the bridge near 1-96 but this was a fluke moment because I never see anyone on this lake, but now I know why....NO FISH...I always thought that lake very muddy?

any good perch in lake chemung? i live in wixom and i know kent lake, walled lake and a few other lakes around here just suck... for perch i just started going to lake st. clair and for bass i go down to ford lake and for walleyes i go out of the raisin river on lake erie. i'm sorta looking for something closer to try on those half days your running late.

I went by Kent tonight and a few of my friends were fishing up the west
side of route 5 toward turtlehead in 6 fow.
They said it was non stop bite from 4 till dark but mostly small ones.
The best fish they had I measured were two 8 1/4" gills and a 9,10 and
and a 12" crappie.
Not quite enough to make me want to fish there until I can't get on other lakes.

Seen one other person fishing with a light as I left out near the big dock off the west launch.
