Heard the weatherman this morning say that Lake Superior needs to get good amounts of water before the rest of the Great Lakes with rise. Not sure I believe him or not...

Global warming is a money maker, and a fun idea, thats about it. I know we've had more snow in southeast michigan then I've seen in long time. I can't imagine what we'd have on the ground right now if it weren't for those two brief thaws.

now all we need is some good rain in the spring and we might have the begining of a turnaround....doesnt this happen like every 20 years or so...almost like a cycle....either way I will take the improved lake levels if any...can only improve everything...now maybe if they stop pumpin it out for other states....

This true the superior watershed has been below normal on snowfall for a number of years.Until that snow pack is replenished the watershed will not rise very much.Superior feeds both lake mi and Huron with water.

Lake Superior water levels are affected by systems that move into the area and drop water. Lake Effect snow picks up moisture from the lake and drops it somewhere else....recycling it. Our lakes are in need of system snow and rainfall.
