Stopped by KD yesterday to get some minnows that I knew to be guaranteed VHS free and that came with a receipt so I could fish a little honey hole in Rochester later this week.

When Ken found out that I drove from Royal Oak to Waterford to fish a lake in Rochester he ended up giving me an extra scoop of minnows on the house to "make it worth my time" - totally unnecessary but absolutely appreciated.:)

All the minnows are still alive today and hopefully are going to be putting a hurtin' on some crappie and perch here shortly.

Nice clean and organized shop and the wax worms I bought were probably the plumpest I've purchased this year. If you get a chance stop in.

And it was nice meeting you yesterday Ken hopefully I'll get to make it out that way a couple more times this year although the fishing was pretty poor yesterday.

I drive from Holly down to kd whenever i go out and i usually fish in Ortonville but it is definitely worth the trip. just started ice fishing this year bought bait at a couple different places and the waxies look like there on steroids compared to all the other shops.

I've driven down from Midland and met these fine folks. They are just that good folks. If your gonna be by there stop and meet them you won't regret it. A real nice shop and very professional.

As far as i know they sell certified live bait so you should be able to use it on any lake.

BigT,

Yes and yes.

About a 3-5 day turnaround time on the blades depending on what day you bring them.

You may be able to touch them up with a fine file or emory board. Be gentle and don't file the bottom side. The angle is critical. Might be able to stretch them out for the remainder of this year then get these sharpened when you get new ones for next year. Just a thought!
