after having pretty good weekend i had one vacation day to go and decided to try metro beach at 16 mile for the first time this year.
very cloudy not real clear, and a slow current
the parking lot was half full at 10.00 am
i figured this is the best kept secret of the day.
i fished for and hour and that was enough for me.
went back to my old stand by
SANG had the same senario , parking lot was half filled and shanties
all over the place.
not like the weekend, but i was wondering, is there that many people out of work or what ?
well today i move shallow 3" nothing
went 4 ft where most shanties were and seen very little.
then 6 ft and only caught 2 pearch.
The biggest high lite was the walleye that came in.
i did manage to hook him, but on 2lb test he won the fight.
after a quick 5 seconds line hook and bait were goneeee !!! :dizzy:
needless to say i did come across a real estate agent who was working a jig out side his shanty and was a having a fair day.
looked in his bucket , I was impressed .. 8 " 9" and 10"s
he had approx 20 fish i`d say.
all fished out for now
