Took my 10 year old ice fishing at SANG. We had a Honda 3 wheeler with a Polish Flag mounted on the rear rack, frabill shanty and pulled a sled with my son Jon. Dad gave me the flag when he passed away several years ago and wen also keep it with us fishing as he did. On with the report..... Launched at at 7:00am and headed to the Barracks. Started fishing in about 5' of water and was a little cloudy on bottom yet could see your lure. Caught about 10 fish at this location yet only one keeper at 10". Alot of smaller fish in that area. Next move was in front of the Ramp at the barracks with the orange cones out in front. Fished the weeds and Jon caught 1 12" rock bass. The kid was all smiles. Move again north of the barracks to right out in front of the canal. Fished 3' of water and managed to catch 4 keepers yet alot of smaller fish were in the area. Last move of the Day was straight out from that spot to about 7' of water that produced 2 more keepers. Left the ice about 1:00pm.
All in all a great day we caught about 30 fish yet kept only 7 >>2 --10", 3--9's, 1--8", and 1-- 7". Saw some bigger fish yet could not get the bait to them as the little perch just grabed the bait on the way down.
