Need new batteries for the boat this year. Main powers outboards, main and kicker, radio, lowrance, lights, live wells (2) trolling motor is a 2 battery set up. any suggestions on brands? am asking since I am ignorant on these types of issues. Learned a long time ago to ask advise. Well maybe not when I am driving:D. I obviously will not be installing that will be done at the marina where I store in the winter. Just want to go in with a little pre knowledge. Thanks

Trogen marine batteries hold up very well and last a long time.
For a trolling motor get the SCS225, it's a 31 series.

Depending on your marina, they have a 'prefered' brand - I have had great results with the MASON name - now that I have a Verado I read that the AGM's from Cabelas are one of the best. Agree too, the biggest that will fit your battery compartment adds some insurance.

Might want to check Consumer Reports. Last year my buddy was looking for a marine battery and looked at there report, and believe it or not ..................for value and long life, Wallmarts marine battery won. Just my 2 cents.;)

I gotta say, The wally world Marine batteries are good. I've been running two now going on my 5th season. My start batt is also a Walmart brand.

Got mine at Meijer, sorry can't think of the brand.
Seemed to last far longer per charge than the one's my buddy had used in the same boat that cost $30-40 more for some name brand.

The batteries at Wallmart are made by the same company that makes Optima. Johnson Controls. The wallmart batteries are a good battery for the money for sure. By the way JCI also makes Die Hard, Interstate, Exide ... and several others.

Interstate Marine or Optima Blue Top. The Optimas are spendy but they are good batteries. I have both on my boat.
