Cotton rd. gills!

Got into them again today. Me and 2 buddies limited out this morning. Fished from 715-1130. Took a few moves to find them after trying where i found them on wednesday. 5 fow in the weeds. Pink ratfinki's were the ticket. Had minnows down on the spring bobber rod which brought them in to stare. then finnesed them with the jig. No crappie this time!:( But alot of fun and a good meal!

Catchn gills or sunfish? I haven't caught any bluegills yet this year.

I actually got a nice mess of gills and 2 crappie in that area this weekend too. Only caught one pumpkinseed the rest were keepers.

Did catch a few bluegill in there, but most i believe were red ears. They are quite orange with a red dot on their gill plate.
