Just to let everyone know our ice taxi is now officially up and running.

Rides are only $5 round trip/each person

$2 for parking/each car

Bait is the cheapest, with the fattest counts in town

We will drop you off and pick you up at a designated area and you walk from there where you like.

If you need to come back at any certain time just call and we will be there as quick as possible.

This is our first time running this service but we will try to accomodate everyone as quickly as we can

Our sled can hold approximately 6-8 people and tow all gear

We will deliver bait, food, beverages, smokes, just about what ever you need within reason

Please feel free to call with any questions or concerns

Hope To See Everyone Soon

Jimmy's .. I'm not familiar with your hours of operation.. What days of the week will the taxi service be in operation?.. when does first taxi go out? When does last taxi come in?

We will be here when you're ready, as long as we have good ice, the taxi should be running

Oh Yeah! I can see that working on this side of the lake.

Says one bunghole to the other: "Hey dude! Let's do a bonfire!"

Or: "Dude, we really cut a big hole with this chainsaw. Better grab some of those trees to mark the hole."

We are open from 6 A.M-7 P.M 7 days

We run taxi rides just a little bit after opening and pick up roughly by 6-6:30, we do not want to be out on the ice after dark

If you need to be picked up at any certain time we will be happy to accomodate any requests, just call us at 586-329-3811

We have a cone set up on the ice for now as the drop off/pick up but we will see what we can do to make it more visible

Hope To See You Soon

I think that is why they use fresh christmas trees.they dont burn.ANd for point two that would be and is one of the reason for the trees in canada they mark holes and unsafe ice,one in front of the hole and one at the furthest part of the whole.I would not be one bit offended if someone took the trre to mark a hole it may save a life.

We have a 5' x 8' trailer that has a bench seat in the middle.

We took the axles off and put on some skis that make it slide like dream

Depending on guys and there accessories we can fit 6-8 and we have a tow system for all gear that looks like a train going down the canal

Hope To See Everyone Soon

Used your taxi service last Sunday and it was great. Sure beat walking. I could only stay out a couple hours and when I was ready to go, just called on the cell phone and you had someone there within 5 minutes. Friendly service, good bait prices and counts and it was nice getting the help loading the gear off the dock onto the ice. I plan to use your service again this weekend to take my Dad out.

Welcome to the site as a new sponsor.

We will post a pic in the near future of the taxi if you like

If you are looking for a CHEAP motel, right down the street is the Ruth Motel on the corner of Shook/Jefferson not too sure of the address though

Otherwise there is quite a few different motels about 5-7 miles away or so
The Rose Shores Eastin Hotel located at 31960 Little Mack/Masonic in Roseville 586-296-2149 is rather reasonable and a decent place.

We should be able to accomodate just about any size group you have with all gear, just let us know if you like in advance

Feel free to call us anytime at 586-329-3811 if you have any questions or concerns

Generally we drop off at a designated point quite a ways out maybe a mile or so, but we are flexible depending on how busy it is

Hope To See You Soon

Fishing has been decent, some days are on fire, some not so much
Yesterday was slow in general as far as guys even going out, but the feww that did were pretty happy. We seen some nice 10-12's come off the ice last night and some jumbo slab bluegills/sunnies

Overall the fishing has been decent, the guys who seem to be patient and wait it out are the ones who seem to do the best. A couple guys have been doing good in close and the Harbor Club North Marina has been on fire the last couple weeks with big gills, the stray crappie or three and some nice size perch

We are just north of Gino's about a quarter mile or so

Feel free to call us anytime if you like 586-329-3811 if you have any questions or concerns

My son (8 years old) and I have been fishing up and down the shoreline this winter and I have been hauling all the equipment needed to fish with him comfortabley by leg.

Saw this thread and tried Jimmy's out this past Saturday. Pulled up, got a very generous 2 dozen minnows, had my Voyager (heavy) shanty unloaded and hitched to the tow. My son managed to show up with one glove; three different employees offered him a spare set.

We got out on the ice in front of Gino's where it would have taken me forever to pull the shanty to. When we were ready to go, we gave them a call and were picked up without even going back to the drop-off point.

Everyone was extrememly friendly and helpful. I worried about the volume of customers they needed to keep track of being an issue but they have a smooth operation running.

I wouldn't hesistate to reccomend this service to any of my friends and family.

Thank you for the great service.
