this maybe a dumb reply but charge the battery or maybe a new battery is in order? I had one that I bought off e-bay and it worked perfect until it got cold and than you had to heat the camera part or all you got was squiggly lines (held it over the heater for a 20 or 30 seconds), my new marcum has a heater built into the LCD screen, I'm sure it sucks the juice out of the battery quicker!

Wiggle the camera connector in the back of the monitor and see if it makes a difference. My camera has a bad conector and it acts like that sometimes.

If it's relatively new, send it back to Marcum. Don't fool around with something that's not working properly.

me and my grandpa made a trip to cabelas today to return it and extange it for a new camera and it works fine i think it may have been the on/off button but im not shure if i was to mail it to cabelas i would have had to mail it to nebraska my guess is it would probably take one to two weeks. my lowrance x67c is still at the lowrance shop because the power button dident work. i sent it out last friday and still havent recieved it they said there best fix time is two weeks.

Not a good year for you when it comes to electronics. However, I think you'll be very happy with that camera. I have the 7" one and it's really great. They are a pain if you're moving a lot, but the Marcum's are better than the aqua vu's. Cabelas really knows how to market a great camera at a dirt cheap price.

cabelas costmer support was really nice and helpful they gave me two options 1 take it to cabelas or mail it to nebraska or go to a retail store. i finally got someone i could understand well i was on the phone. so we got to cabelas and went to the costmer support desk they put a tag on it showing that i had proof of purchase. then we took a number and then we had to take a number and we wated for two minutes. then they took the camera and gave us a gift card two buy a new camera . i would say that that is the bes customer support i have ever had.

We went through 4 of those cabelas cameras, sending them back each time because they would just stop working. 2 of the replacements were junk and would not even turn on (yes the batteries were charged, even tried different batteries from duck decoys and still would not work). The cameras are CHEAP and pieces of JUNK if you ask me. We finally just told them to keep it, and we exchanged it for an aqua view, which works way better and is 10x better quality.
