I am looking for some strength exercises for my wife. She is currently shooting about 35#. I would like to get her up over 40# before fall since she has shown some interest in bow hunting this year. Looking for something that would be easy to do at home to gain those few extra pounds.

The best way to isolate the particular muscles is simple.
Have her sit on the couch, feet together, and draw her bow 5 times a night, holding it for 5 seconds each time.
Double it after 2 weeks, and then increase the weight after that.
She'll be comfortably pulling 40 in 3-4 weeks.
