Joyce Meyer Conference

My wife and I are planning on attending the Joyce Meyer Conference, July 24,25,26 at the Palace of Auburn Hills. There is a listing of Hotels close to the center, however the cheapest one is 100 dollars a night.

Not familiar with the area, but would like to find a cheaper hotel not too far from the Palace, but not one that is not, for lack of a better word, "Seedy".:)

Anybody over in that area have any recommendations.

if you want a cheaper rate, you may want to consider a "distance" to travel. That area is pretty steep in price. What's the drive time you will consider. 1/2 hour, 45 minutes?

I'm thinking that is City Driving so my guess is that 30-45 minutes could be 15-20 miles. If I could keep it right about 30 or so, would be fine.

Try motel6.com, haven't stayed with that chain in years, but the used to have clean rooms, nothing fancy, compared to the high dollar chains; search on their site for hotel #1065 in AH, think that is about a 15 minute hop from exit to exit to the Palace. they are asking $50.39 base for room if you book now...
