I've been watching the bucks behind our house and have noticed about 2/3 of them have dropped both antlers. What are you guys seeing?

I saw 4 small buck's 1-1/2 year olds in a bachelor group Saturday and they still had head gear and were sparing and chasseing each other around.

What's the latest date that anyone has seen bucks hold their antlers?

Yesterday afternoon (Friday 2/22) I watched a nice buck in my back yard for about an hour. He was back in the brush and couldn't get a good count on points but he only had one side. I just got back in from looking around and I couldn't find the one that had dropped already. :( He was a pretty nice buck though.

I was coming back from turkey hunting one year in May. I was on US-23 at I-94 and saw a 6pt running across the ramp from southbound 23 to westbound 94. The buck was not in velvet, so it was last years rack. I had my dad with me and we both thought that was very strange.

That's really amazing. The latest I've seen has been some time in march. I'm really looking forward to picking up some sheds behind our house. Last year we found a total of 7. It really puts a smile on a kids face to find one.

We start looking for them the same week taxes are due out here...we don't have porkys like you guys, we can wait. Can't wait too long past that date cause the rattlers are comeing out in the hills. Thank God we don't have to turkey hunt the hills.
