best float shop in Mi

have been running down to erie outfitters in Ohio for my gear I happen to make a stop to check the river in flat rock and made a stop in the little dipper...man ohh man i was in heaven anything you could need and friendly ppl behind the counter..for a small shop I have never been treated so well, when im taken care of I will let the world know..well i was and more...I can not say enough good about them there..if your ever in the area stop in you will be impressed..

where is the little dipper? is it on the east side? i am from the east side but am currently living on the west side and utilize Rylee's ace hardware in grand rapids and gander mountain in grandville the most. for specialized things i order online..

The little dipper is on the east side in Flat Rock, right next to the Huron river...I also agree with frogdoo, it IS the best float shop in the state! The fellas behind the counter are more than willing to chat for a while (as we spend more money) and they are full of good knowledge. They also carry every brand and style of float, a great selection of pins to handle, and everything else you could possibly need and more!

Hicks Outdoors in clio has a few drennan floats, zeppler, piker different sizes. basic reels the Aventa from Okuma and Aventa rod. Trying to build the pin business.

i will agree that the dipper is the best shop in michigan or at least on the east side as i have only been to the west side a handful of times. he has just recently stocked up on a lot of float fishing gear. they have everything u need and more.

The best place I have found is Ebay. There is a guy selling Drennan, Redwing, Siglon and flies. They charge $2.50 flat rate shipping and have good prices. The ebay store is called huron river flies and supplies.

I would have to agree the Dipper is the best float shop I have found in Michigan. They stock floats by Raven,Blackbird,Drennan,Thill,Sheffield and others. Full line of tubing,floatcaps,micro swivels, and shot. Siglon products, and rods and reels by Raven,St Croix,Okuma,Cortland and Jw Young. Last time I spoke with the owner he said he would be ordering Loomis rods this summer and ross and Hardy reels.
