I have a older 70 hp Evinrude that never had tilt/trim on it. I bought the tilt/trim unit and wiring harnesses from Ebay, and im looking for someone to hook it up for me. I would be willing to assist on this project, (just like to know the in's and outs of it). I rebuilt this boat from the Hull up, so i know enough to be dangerous. Only a month and a half before the Detroit river SLAM, so i would like to be done with this project by then......Thanks in advanced....

It would be less expensive, and a lot easier to sell the older outboard and buy a used one with the trim and tilt feature. Anything is possible but it could prove to be a real PITA adding this set up to the old outboard. I don't want to offend, but I'm sure others were thinking the same thing. JMHO
