:confused:Help me out my friends. I have know idea whats the difference. They look alot alike. Is it the size? Do they both have handles. I just want a large enough reel to play a large steelhead with 4 to 6# test. That means I have to have lots of line. I like the St. Joe where I can play um out.

A pin may look like a big arbor fly reel, but they are used very differently. What makes a pin a pin is that is free spools very very smoothly, with minimal drag. This enables the angler to float his presentation downstream far past himself, as the reel spools out the line. CPs have no mechanical drag on them at all, just a clicker, used for tying up and transport.
