Port Austin State Harbor Has Seasonal Slips Available for Rent
The Department of Natural Resources announced today that there are several seasonal boat slips available at the Port Austin State Harbor on Lake Huron for the 2008 boating season.
Port Austin has one opening for a 45-foot slip, three openings for 40-foot slips, and six vacant 30-foot slips. One commercial seasonal slip is also available. Amenities include 30-amp electrical service and water hook-ups, fuel station (gasoline, diesel and pump-outs), private showers and restroom, a boat launch, and laundromat. There is also a possibility of Wi-Fi service in 2008. The harbor also is within walking distance from many Port Austin establishments, including a marine parts store. Port Austin State Harbor is a Clean Marina facility as well as a Harbor of Refuge. The DNR Parks and Recreation Division manages 16 developed marinas along the Great Lakes within the Harbors of Refuge program.
The DNR is committed to the conservation, protection, management, use and enjoyment of the state's natural resources for current and future generations.
