check the for sale adds at www.offshoreonly.com

Lots of guys here upgrade their boats... taking the alpha drives off and replacing them with bravos.

If it's just the prop shaft and skeg... you can get that fixed... but if you want a "new" drive all you need is the lower.

Robby,

Was that the boat you had told me about when we were fishing?

That is a GREAT deal on a drive. If it's as advertised it's well worth the drive to get it.

Thank You All you fellow outdoorsmen for your help and quick response!!!

sorry I'm so slow to respond just got home, and am very thankful for your help. I bought this boat 1984 searay 260 weekender and a trailer 1998 navigator all aluminum from a friend to help him out of a jam, his harly was about to be repoped and he offered me this boat with the outdrive shaft bent and about all the skag gone for the low price of $5000.00 dollars not sure if it was a good deal or not but I felt I needed to help him. I really do'nt want the boat just want to turn and burn the boat (sell it) but would fill bad to sell it needing this outdrive. just hope to brake even!

any takers?

well any way thank you all, and really looking forward to brooming this thing.

Well getting your buddy out of a jam, may have got you into one. If you have not had the boat surveyed you may be in some shizzle. A prospective buyer would more than likely have the boat surveyed. If there is any sign of rot it will not pass and more than likely turn the buyers head away due to the fact of not being able to finance or insure.

Happened with my friends dad. He ended up giving the boat to his son.

I would give checker marine in LaSalle a call.

That should suffice if a buyer wants a survey.

The outdrive $350 sounds like a great deal if it is a nice unit. if not try calling Rose Marine 586-716-9600 they may have something for you. I think your biggest problem with the boat is not many people buying.
