I was just at Lowe's at 15 mile and Gratiot, and I picked up a Mr. Heater Tough Buddy for $34.50. All of their seasonal heaters are 50% off.
Just thought I'd let my fishing friends in on the deal!

It's sad EVERYTHING seems to be made in China, but I will say I love my Mr. Buddy heater. I've head it for 4 years and never had problem with it. Is there another heater out there made in the United States?

That "made in China piece of junk" kept me warm all day! What a great little heater.
By the way, can anyone tell me of a similar heater that is made in America?

I bought a 3,000 btu heater a month ago and it wasnt cutting it. Hope this one works better. I would have bought it then but it was 70 bucks. Great deal!

Ah ok , kinda figured it wasnt the big buddy. Not to mention that he should of posted in the classified section , i just bought 25 of the regular sized mr heaters. Ill sell for $49.95 haha jk i dont have any but thinking maybe some competition will drive the prices down ;)

I think that's a fair price for sure, considering his gas, time and using his own funds.By the time word spread on here they probably would have been sold out there too.The tough buddys run around $140.00.(NOT THE BIG BUDDY) So I was more than happy to pay someone $50.00. And since we live in Richmond, it would have definetly cost us that in gas!! Saw the regular mr. buddy's on sale at meijers in Lincoln Park for $22.50 just an fyi.

And for people who are threadcrapping saying they are junk, I have been using mine for 5 years without much more than swapping out the burner with a qtip soaked in alcohol twice a season.

Have 2 dyna-glo tag-a-long propane left 1 of them in box, 1 out of box - similar to smaller mr buddy at HD in sterling heights for 35$. Had one larger one - the one that holds 2 propane tanks out of box for around 60.

Banditto, Mine took a crap on me on the great white north of Saginaw Bay yesterday.(-4 degrees):help: What exactly do you swab out on these things? I couldn't get the pilot to stay lit. The flame turned yellow. Any help will be truely appreciated. BTW The baby sized Paulin heater saved the day. Just enough heat to keep feeling in my fingers. Thanx - Capnhook
