wildwing (kent lake) ???

just wondering, how do you access wildwing from kent? do you just walk over from the boat launch or is there another place to park? not real familar with that area/lake. any info would be appreciated. thanx

Yes, just park at the west launch and walk across the street and
take nature center trail up to where the sign on the lake that
says fishing this side. Not a good idea to jump on the lake before
this due to unsafe ice due to too shallow muck areas.
About a 10 minute walk, but the trail with snow makes it easy.
If the golf course pkg. is open, there is a trail near the toll booth you can take that cuts it down to 5 minutes.

I went there twice this year for the first time and seen some decent
pike and bass caught on tipups.
I was fishing for pannies and the gills were real small that I caught but
we caught a dozen specs that were from 9 to 11 inches.
Kindof skinny compared to the main lake imo.
They have a nice lake map handout at the park office.
