I know that Friday there were several post that said the water was very muddy and the ice had alot of slush on it.

Im thinking of going Monday morn before hitting the midnight shift, did anyone get out sunday? if so what were the conditions? did the water clear up at all ? How much snow and or slush is there?
Im gonna be walking dragging a sled with a portable on it, I got a feeling that I might be better off sleeping all day so I can stay awake at work.

Hopfuly with this cold were having over the next few days will fix what the rain and warm weather messed up last week.

Might have been a dozen brave souls out there when I drove by around 11:30 this morning. Even some bucket butts.:yikes: A few at the Raft and behind the Tin Fish also. Don't know any more than that. Good luck.

Fished there today from 9am-6pm started out in 8 ft of water with no lunck the moved in to 6 ft and started catching fish about 20 total with a few nice jumbo's. Had two heaters going in the shanty to just to keep the chill off and the wind was bad but worth the trip.

10 clear inches, or did the white crust on top freeze over with the clear ice still below it?

Just trying to get a better picture.

Also, did the soft spots near shore harden up?

Thanks.

There was 5 inches of clear ice with 5 inches of frozen slush on top. On the way out we broke thru by the DNR launch by the afternoon it was frozen solid. I did not see any soft spots by mid day. We had a few tip ups out in the morning and holes froze over about a 1/4 in every hour gave up on those by mid day.
