SANG Access???

Has anyone been fishing out at SANG or is the access still unsafe:help:

Planned on trying out there tomorrow.

I didn't see any vehicles out there during lunch...only the DNR vehicle. Didn't take a look at the ice though.

If that was the case, more than likely the ice is shot.

Oh well, further north I go.

had some friends go there yesterday. they had to climb down off the rocks and go left toward cotton.they did not go thru the canal but said that it should be frozen by tomorrow. i hear they did get some fish on minnows.

From cotton rd. yesterday...it looked like quite a few guys were fishing selfridge.

I saw one group of guys out there around 430 pm. They didn't access at Selfridge thought, must have walked out in front of selfridge and came from the canals or something. The ice looks locked up though.

The booth attendant told us to access from the point. Walked outside the gate to the point at the end of the road, said the crack was unsafe to cross. Didnt go look. Went onto the ice from seewall onto the marina canal. Ice was slushy on top but should be soilid after a day or so. Stayed to the north. There was a small crack off the point that everyone seemed to stay north of so idid too since I had my 4 yr old son with me. Ice was 4 inches under the sketchy 2 inches on top. Managed 8 for the freezer afetr toughing it out in the wind! It should be good to go after a few cold days and the good looking forcast for the week! Good Luck!
