I have fished the lake this year 5 times for pike with a spear and have not seen any pike come in the hole. I'd say Stoney has been slow this year, with poor fishing. In the past I'd be able to spear several pike, but the last two years have been BAD!!!!! 2006 they droped the lake level very low and couldn't fish where I wanted to because it was dry lake bottom with ice on top...This year we get 4-5 inches of fishable ice and it all #$%@ melts...then the ice gets thick enough to fish and it's poor. Three years ago we caught: Chanel catfish, Bass, Pike and Crappie up to 15 inches, but the last two years have stunk!!!

Sorry for the bad report, but I'm disappointed...between the park messing with the lake levels and the "Freak-Winter" this year, there isn't much good to say. Just a Warning...Don't waste your time!!!!:(:(:(
