i was at the dnr ramp today went out with quad ,the trucks that dnr said they cant stop from going on the lake have it so broken up i almost didnt make it back in even walking out is tuff its all broke up at the ramp and you have to walk thru water to get on the ice, i was over my tires coming in , but the water is pretty clear caught 45 perch kept 8 that were 8 to 11.5 tuesday caught 150 perch kept 37- 8 on up be carefull and tite lines,:fish::fish:

HOWS THAT GO A BAD DAY OF FISHIN IS STILL BETTER THAN 8 HRS OF WORK, AND I CAUGHT FISH AND THEY TASTED G R E A TTT, :lol:

driving a quad out when the ice is already bad makes it REALLY bad for ice fisherman that walk... really find it hard to feel sorry for you being up to your tires in water... think of the guy thats up to his knees:sad:

you guys have the option to walk around it the machines cant just go over the rocks and onto the undisturbed ice:sad:.Either way it sucks for machines or walking....be careful out their.

thats true! I had a walleye lunch yesterday. it was damn good too!

What was the ice conditions out on the bay? In my canal it was a slushy sloppy mess!!! Can you run 3/4 wheelers out there??? Also if your looking for better access, the Sand Bar has a ramp down. I don't know how the parking situation is working but I bet if you stop in after fishing and buy a beer/burger I bet there's no fee at all.

How much snow is on the ice? Where I live, in Lexington,we got 10". Gonna go to the harbor pretty soon to see how much snow is on the ice. Took most of the day to clear my drive with a blower.

hey happy just got off the ice 4 to 5" of slush on top water still clear, fishing not to good today, water still clear high winds on the weekend good luck, still 5-7" of ice tite lines,
