I fished Mitchells Bay on Sat, 40 perch and 13 big Keepers. It was a good morning, I was first at Bass Haven and first at the launch. I had a fit full sleep the night before (I was dreaming of chasing Jumbos around the bay) At 3:00 I decided to stop thinking about fishing and get out of bed to go do it.
After the good morning I started heading back to the truck about 10:30, dropping holes every 1/4 mile. As I was motoring through the crowds my machine made a series of backfire noises and quit on me.
What a feeling:yikes:. I was still 4 miles out and things were not looking good. After about 1/2 hour this guy came up and asked if I was okay. I said I was fine but I was screwed. He offered me a tow. His big Can Am made short work of it. He took me, my machine and my gear directly to my vehicle. I thanked him up and down and pulled out a 20 spot. Have a hot meal or buy a case of Molson, I said. He replied, I did not do it for money aye, I did it for me. I understood, said good bye and wished him well. That was one spiritual dude.
Thanks Canadian guy, you saved me a ton of grief and gained a world of respect.

Happened to me softwater, a couple guys towed me in after bunches of people didn't bother, yes, they were Canadian too. Like Mushy said, it's all about the Karma, I know I'll be there for someone when the time comes.

We're not all like that! Just kidding! Yes we are. I've towed quite a few guys in when they were stuck out on the lake. You guys that said karma hit the nail on the head. I've been fortunate enough to have that favor returned a couple times too. It's not a nice feeling when you're stranded in the middle of the lake and there's nowhere to go, and nobody around to help.:dizzy:

Last week on my way to mitchels bay at 5 am I was pulled over on the side of the highway looking at a map. I had my flashers on. 1 minute later a canadian gentlemen pulled over came up to my car to see if I needed help
I replied that I was fine and was just trying to decide whether to fish at St lukes or mitchels bay. He told me he had limited out the previous day at mitchels and that would be my best bet. He then told me he would be glad to take me on the back of his 4 wheeler to the same spot. I gladly accepted and caught a limit of decent perch by 11 am. That is one of the reasons I go there when ever I can.

I don't think good will and sportsmanship know about the border.

Stop it you guys you are going to swell alot of Canadian heads with all that talk, although it is nice to here and it is good to here that there are still some good people out there.
I would have to say the same about you guys to the south you are the only ones I will cater to here in the north you are all polite apreciative of other peoples stuff and you leave things the way you find them. Hats off to our cross border friends as well.
