Questions about scents and lures

During winter how often do you put scent/lure out on your sets. I haven't had anything come thru my sets in a couple of weeks. I also bought some used traps. When setting new ones will fox and yotes come in with people tracks around a new set. I picked up 41 leg hold traps, it's more than I want but I guess it will give me a good rotation for the year.

I've had fox tracks in my tracks after making a set in the snow, understand I didn't catch the fox (bad trap placement) but it did check out the set.
