I think 16 or 16 lbs won it last year. I ended up in 10th place and had just over 10lbs!! We had one hell of a cold rainy morning then about the time the tournament ended the sun came out and it was beautiful!...LOL!!

PX,

Sounds like you would be foolish not to fish this tournaments with that kind of weight on those 2 days.

This will be my first walleye tournament.

Does it get pretty crazy trying to troll with 60+ boats on such a small area?
Is there a captains meeting before hand to explain the rules?

So did you sign up this yr?? I had about 14lbs last yr the day before but that cold front that came through on Sunday shut em down some!

The event was a lot of fun! We got our fish, but just not the weight. I am assuming the heavier baskets came up river as we fished closer to the damn.

Do you know if the final results are posted some where?

My son and I ended up about in the middle of the pack!! Trolled on Friday for about 3 hrs and landed 15 fish with 11 of them being keepers but nothing that big maybe 19 inches. On Sat. we were gonna strickly jig cause most of the time thats how the bigger fish are caught. Well the first fish on Sat was an 8.8lb HAWG!! OUCH!! (The kiss of death)!! I told my son he caught that thing a day to early!! Anyways we had some other nice fish as well on Sat. so that was our game plane for Sunday!! Well it didnt pan out for us, we just couldnt get that big bite!! Oh well it was alot of fun other then the wind, cold and rain...LOL!! A great tournament again and Chapmans does a great job running it!! Thanks Dale and Dale and Rod for all the hard work!! See ya next year!!

I use to fish it every year. I haven't in a few. I went out at 3:OO on Sunday to see the weigh in. I couldn't get in to watch without paying to get into the boat launch????? Maybe Chapman's could talk to the parks about letting in spectators to see the weiigh-in. It would have been nice to talk to some of the guys. Glad you guys had fun though.

Yes there were a lot of fish. The winning team had 15+ pounds but got a few points - for 2 dead fish. Many teams weighed in 5 fish, but had a hard time getting the weight. I suspect the winning teams went up river and were catching some of the spawned out females. We weighed in 5 17" fish.
