I have Auto Owners on my new 450 Griz. it's about $125 a year for full coverage with $250 deductable............

I have house, boat, 2 vehicles and quad with them but the ATV is on a seperate policy and not attached to the house. Multiple discount is probably helping.

You should check out www.GrizzlyCentral.com (http://www.GrizzlyCentral.com) to see what other people are paying in different parts of the country.............some guys are paying "over" a grand a year...............ugh.............I was bitching about $125 a year......

I have Progressive and it's $145 per year for my 2007 660 Grizzly, that's full coverage and $250 deductable. It was the cheapest I could find and believe me, I looked!

Wow, I can't believe these prices. I checked a few years ago for my Mule and it was close to $1,000 a year. I guess I'll check again.

It depends on your age and driving record. Most people are better off insuring with the same company that there home is insured with.

Not always, I have a great driving record and our auto and home are both insured by AAA. When I called my agent to insure my quad he quoted me a rate of close to $300. He even suggested that I look around to find a lower rate.

 They've never even asked about driving record,, or age when I got a qoute. I'm not sure why that would have any bearing on it anyway..

Progressive,,,, $119 per year,,, trailer and ATV,, $100 deductible. Whole ball o wax is covered,,, and I specifically asked her if I plunked it in the lake would they cover it,,, she said,, yes no problem.

Most companies will not insure three wheelers. They are considered to be more dangerous. I believe that is why they quit making them.
With most companies age and driving record will make a difference, along with the make and model.
$300 does sound like a lot to insure a quad depending on make model and how much it is worth. Like I said most people are better off insuring with their homeowners carrier but not all. AAA evidently is not competitive on Quads.

I'd get that in writing...the ones that I've called on told me that once it is on the lake ..the coverage is Void and the vehicle is not covered....same goes with your personal vehicles!

Not with my insurance. Quad, car and truck are in fact covered with Auto Owners if they hit the drink. The "only" caveat my agent says that they will "not" cover any fines from DNR/DEQ for contaminating the water..........matter of fact just talked to him a week or so about this same issue..............."always" has been covered.....

I've yet to have an insurance company tell me that my truck is NOT covered if I plunk it. The ATV policy is an "off-road" policy,,,,, so I'm sure pretty sure it's covered,,, I'll read the policy when I get it,, just to make sure,, but I'm not worried.

I have mine with Progressive for a 2000 Kawasaki 300 and a 85 honda ATC 250sx $75.00 each. Full coverage on the 2000 - liability only on the 3 wheeler.

At least consider laibility coverages. Home owners will not provide any coverage if injury happens off premises. Also if ridering on a homeowners policy make sure a claim on the ATV will not effect your homeowners rates or credits.

Many times you can write stand alone for the same pricing or less than adding to the HO policy.

anyone here ever chance it? Okay, thats probably crazy but I'm not spending anything more than a 100 bucks a year to insure a three wheeler that probably won't even start when it gets there.

I bought my ATV in Sept. of 05 and this is the first insurance,, I've put on it. I've been "chancing" it for close to 3 years now. I really don't ride it much anyway,, bought it specifically for ice-fishing. For $120 bucks though,,,, I decided not to "chance it" anymore,, just not worth it. I'm not too worried about the ice,, I'm more worried about some knucklehead on the road wiping me out.

your cars and trucks are covered on the ice if you carry comp on your policy. Once a vechicle is off the road, a parking lot, driveway, ice or whatever it's considered property and covered under comp. I have a good freind thats a adjuster for statefarm;)

My quad is pretty old so I don't have insurance. I only paid 3000 for it 6 or 7 years ago. Can't see betting the insurance company every year that something is going to happen.

Progressive. $89 a year for a 06 Yamaha Big Bear. And its the only thing I have insured at Progressive. From what I found, a lot of companies only look at engine size. I had a six wheeler that had a 725cc engine and State Farm put me into the same group as a snowmoblie with that size engine that could go 120mph for $400 a year. Went to Progresive with that six wheeler for $75 a year.
