Lake Chemung Saturday - It was a bust.

We hit Lake Chemung yesterday. Fished the NW side of the lake, nothing was biting so we joined the crowd by the boat launch. Most reported non-existent to slow action. There was a father & son situated to the left of the boat launch in about 20 feet of water pulling crappie after crappie out. We were only 60 yards away in slightly deeper water... nothing.

I heard stories of big fish being caught the day before or the morning of but, they sounded more like legends to me. :)

Ive seen big gills,crappie and perch come out of that lake if you want to fish allday for 1 or 2 decent fish than chemung is the place. I gave up on that lake long ago. To many good lakes in that area to waste time there.
