I am striclty a Blue gill fisherman in the winter/spring, I have always used a single hook/ single tear drop with no weight if I can get away with it.

I am considering going with (2) hook or tear drop presentations this weekend at hamlin lake. Reasons are the water is deeper than the water i normally fish. I usually fish 3-5' and Hamlin I fish 10-14' I feel with the double presentation I can cover more of the water colum but I wonder does the added hook and bait make the line less real? Is this to much to offer.

What other presentations do you use? Colors?

Always looking for advice and an opportunity to learn.
Thanks
Marv

so keep this in mind. What works well is to use a medium sized "frosty" (the smallest size with an eye on each end and remove the hook)in a techno-glow color.Tie the frosty to your main line and tie a light leader about 12 inches long to the bottom eye of the frosty.
On the leader you can have any style of small hook you want including a plain one while the frosty is the attractor.
If you don't already know about it learn the "shiver" or "wiggle" technique.
