About 3" of ice at the liberty bridge.. (sag rivr)
Gonna be out this morning for the first time on the river... with an experienced friend of course!
If it doesn't look safe tomorrow we'll be scouting some other spots. Plan is to be on the river all weekend pretty much though. I'll post back later today with results.

Also I heard that green is not a good color. Pink/orange works better. And they are hitting short, so trailer hooks might help.
This is all word of mouth though so who knows.. Good luck everyone and be safe!

BTW weather d0t cm says that winds are 20-30mph today for bay city.. so anyone going out BE CAREFUL and stay warm!
I know I'm going to be extra nervous and XXcareful out there today.. I like fishes, but not enough to sleep with them!

fished the river for over 20 years. there can be 6 inches in one spot and 3 inches a couple feet away..always carry a rope..always carry a spud..don't fish areas with warm water discharges..fish with a partner or go whee there are people if fishing alone..good luck an be careful

yep and the wind can raise or drop the water level a foot in a short time
