Looking for hunter safty program in s/e mi

My buddy lives in wayne co and is looking for a hunters safty course for his son. He hopes to find one in wayne, oakland, livingston or washtenaw co's. He has tried looking at the dnr website but all the courses he found were booked up. Anyone have any ideas? thanks

Try calling Gander Mountain and asking them. I remember seeing classes posted in their store. Or maybe Cabelas. If I hear of any I will post it:)

The Dundee Sportsmans Club in Monroe never turns anyone away no matter how big the class is.

Sportsman's Warehouse in Allen Park is having classes.

Local conservation clubs and also sometimes Pheasants Forever will do these classes. Funny thing about Gander Mountain I found out this year. I was told by the Coldwater store that corporate does not allow the stores do HS classes or to even host them. They can and will promote them for local conservation clubs but I found it more than ironic (or possibly moronic) that they don't host these classes.

The classes are done at a lot of Metro area G.M. stores so it's not Corp.
