I have to brag on this guy, cause he's getting old, and he deserves a little recognition.

This is our 7 yr old male beagle, Gun Runner's Big Time Dan. We got him from Rob McCoy 4 years ago. He's a great rabbit dog. We also did some trialing with him, and he was in the top 10 in the country twice and was inducted into the Hall of Fame a couple years ago. Made Grand Rabbit Champion, and Grand Bench Champion in less than a year.

Just this past weekend, my fiance (with 2 of his buddies) entered in a rabbit hunting tournament against 33 other teams. The only dog they took was Dan, and they were the only team to get their limit. Matt has been in this tournament the last 3 years and has won all 3 times, (tying for 1st once). Dan is always the dog he takes. I was hoping Matt would have someone take a picture, but guys don't always think of that sort of thing.

He's now retired from trialing, but we take him out occasionally to blast some bunnies for him.

I remember Rob telling me about it. Sounds like you do have some great spots.

FREEPOP, I can't believe we havn't ever got together for a rabbit hunt yet.
We could run your pack in the morning and mine in the afternoon or whatever.

You've been too busy getting married and having a baby

We'll have to try that, I think you'd like Scarletfever. I refer to my dogs as "brats" not "pack"

As of now I am going to Ohio deer hunting next weekend, and Swamp Ghost and I have talked and wants to hunt as well. I have a spot that can run dogs ALL DAY, the more the better, and we can spread out a little. I dont care if I even hunt, you all can do the shooting. I just love to hear the dogs run!!

And from a couple weekends ago on a rabbit. Nature still creates the best camouflage.
