How far is a guy going to have to travel north from the Grand Rapids area to find safe ice this weekend? Cadillac/Mitchell??? Farther??? Just wondering if we can all put our heads together and see who's got the southern most ice.

I've heard everything is open water around me (northern Barry county).

Cadillac and Mitchell are where you should go. There's still like 6-8 inches of ice out there. The shoreline is probably freezing back up by now so you should be able to access either one easily.
