Not too bad of a jump to get on the ice  of course it could get tricky jumping with gear.

It looks pretty good. I'm going to try to hit it on Sunday. There should be still at least around 8 inches of ice according to some reports I've read.

Talked to a couple guy's that had been out fishing on the north side, they said the ice is fine. About 8 inches and they were on atv's. I will be heading out tomorrow.

not sure where spring creek is, but know where flint rd is. we are on west shore dr, from the picture it looks like it was taken from the end of county rd 300 (the road you go west onfrom old 27 to get to reedsburg dam). there is deadstream party store on the couner of old 27 and county rd 300.(about 1mile north of m-55) we are 200 yrds south of there. got 28years fishing that lake, man has it changed.
hell i took my first steps at houghton lake at about 1965 mom and dad used
to rent a cabin called mcmasters east of long point by st james church.
two years ago seen you at the meet and greet at marrinallis you left before i had a chance to come and talk to you. mabe see you up there to swap some stories.

I'd like to meet up some time....I've been going up there since I was born....1959.....every vacation was up there...weekends and most of the summers....then we moved up there.....I had to move back down in 1981 due to the lack of work up there! I worked at Bear Archery in Grayling....but then they moved to Florida....was offered a job to follow them there but passed on it!
