Just thought you'd like to know! All the ice that was in front of Cotton Road and the Salt River is GONE!!

Miraculously, there is still a strip about 100 feet wide that curls around the beach to the day sail ramp. It's not much, hopefully this cold gets here and there's no wind attached. I didn't dare venture out on it, can't tell you how thick it is.

Thats a good sign means the small inland lake i fish should be good to go then. After the shoreline freezes up that is, there was a good 10 inches plus there saturday.

I wouldnt be so sure about those inland lakes. We checked out one in Oakland County on sunday and it had about 2 1/2 inches of ice. Monday and Tuesdays warm weather probably trashed it. My pond is wide open and I had 6 inches of ice on it.

From the middle of next week and on we will not even hit mid 20's for highs:D, so its coming, I hope!!
